Our client is seeking an Industrial Designer to join their team. This position focuses on translating customer requirements into innovative, technically sound design concepts for large-scale processing systems.

Job Title: CAD Designer

Location: Plano, TX

What’s the Job?

• Collaborate with the Sales Applications Engineering team to develop conceptual designs and full-line solution proposals for large processing systems based on customer specifications and project requirements. 
• Create detailed 2D parametric models using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor to represent complete processing lines, including equipment integration, layout optimization, and system-level configurations. 
• Perform simulations (structural, kinematic, thermal, or fluid flow) to validate design feasibility, performance estimates, and risk mitigation within sales proposals.
• Develop dynamic animations and motion studies that clearly illustrate system operation, material flow, assembly sequences, maintenance access, and overall workflow for client presentations. • Produce high-quality, photorealistic renderings and visualization packages to communicate design intent, aesthetic appeal, ergonomic considerations, and environmental integration in sales materials and proposals.
• Support pre-sales activities by preparing technical illustrations, 2D walkthroughs, and interactive visuals that strengthen sales proposals and facilitate client discussions.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a closely related field.
• Professional experience in industrial design
• 2D AutoCAD experience
